What we assess

Expert report review

A second technical reading can bring clarity.

Where a report already exists, we can examine its methods, sources and the relationship between results and conclusions. The review is defined by the available documentation and the agreed questions.

What we can examine

  • Fit between the expert questions and the methods used.
  • Use and interpretation of tests and information sources.
  • Support for conclusions and limitations that should be stated.

What may help assess your case

  • The complete report and available appendices.
  • Documents underlying the assessment.
  • Specific questions from your lawyer or proceedings.
An important consideration

A document review is not the same as personally assessing the subject of the report. Conclusions must respect that distinction.

Does requesting a review mean the report is flawed?

No. A review may confirm sound aspects, identify limitations or highlight questions requiring more information. Its outcome is not assumed.
